Aiming to loosen my approach towards painting I started experimenting with free brushstrokes, more abstracted lines, whilst remain true to my idea of a portrait.
In the process of abstraction I started delineating and overlaying my brushstrokes, aiming for a simplification of the face to a point of emotional representation.
